Packanack's Media Specialist, Charlene Mason, Presents at an ISTE Convention
Congratulations to Charlene Mason, Packanack's Media Specialist, for presenting at an ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) Poster Session: "Limited Time, Limited Space, Limited Money -- Make(r) It Work!" Charlene presented on how she was able to bring creative, project-based STEM experiences to her elementary school students. She showcased DIY makerspace projects she designed to help other teachers find the time, make the space, and discover the resources to implement a makerspace environment in a media center and classroom.

Wayne Township Public Schools Welcomes New Administrators
At the June 18 regular meeting, the Wayne Township Board of Education warmly welcomed two new administrators into the district and promoted two current employees to principal positions. Erica Cerilli-Levine was appointed as the new Assistant Director of Student Support Services. David Drozjock was appointed as the new Assistant Principal of Athletics at Wayne Valley. Dawn Auerbach, a long-time employee of the district and most recently serving as an assistant principal at all three Wayne middle schools, will be the new Principal at AP Terhune Elementary. Kolleen Myers most recently served as an elementary assistant principal, was promoted and will now serve as the Principal of John F. Kennedy Elementary. To read the full press release click here.
District Testing Calendar
The Department of Education revised the Testing Calendar dates for PARCC, NJ ASK (NJ Assessment of Skills and Knowledge – Science), and NJBCT (New Jersey Biology Competency Test). Click here for the revised District Testing Calendar.
