On Saturday, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Wayne Police Department, "Operation Medicine Cabinet" will take place.

Through this initiative, all residents will have the opportunity to properly dispose of their unwanted, unused or expired over-the-counter medicines in an anonymous manner.

Every day, 2,500 young people, age 12 to 17 abuse a pain reliever for the first time. Among 12 and 13 year-olds, prescription drugs are the drug of choice.

Through this critical prevention effort, we can steer young people away from prescription drugs and hopefully save lives.
