Wow! The school year is coming to an end. It seems as if it was just September and the fifth graders were anxiously beginning their year as the upper classmen. Now they are anxiously waiting to become junior high school students.
May and June were very busy months for the fifth graders. We had our spring concert at Wayne Hills. The students did a fabulous job. I think we will be seeing some Terhune students on the stage in Radio City Music Hall as future Rockettes or as contestants on American Idol. We have a very talented group of children. None of this could have been possible without the efforts of Ms. Merlucci and Mr. Treni. Thank you again. Field Day was also a lot of fun. Blue and white did a great job and had great sportsmanship too! A big thank you to Mrs. Haggerty for coordinating this activity.
We had a wonderful time on our field trip to Liberty Science Center. The Fifth Graders enjoyed Fifth Grade Day. Thank you to the fifth grade coordinators for making fifth grade day a huge hit.
Fifth grade is always bittersweet. It is when the students’ elementary school years come to an end and their years as middle school students begin. We had a great year teaching your children. It was very rewarding to watch them grow and mature. We wish them well in their advancement to Junior High. Good Luck to you all.
