So many exciting things have been happening here in 4th grade. Our year has been full of learning, exploring, and it's all been an incredible journey for our students.
Our writing assignments have been really fun lately. Have you ever used the excuse that the dog ate your homework? Our students are much more creative than that! Read their latest writing piece, "The Most Unbelievable Excuse," and you will find out just how creative their minds can really be. This ties in with our final reading theme of the year. "Could It Really Happen" is a fun theme with stories like Jumanji and June 29, 1999.
As we head into the final stretch of this year, students will continue their study of New Jersey. They will be learning about our government and its structure and functions, as well as some really cool inventions.
Science class has become a research central! Our animal research reports are in full swing and are looking great so far. Our students are learning all about animals like the bengal tiger, african lion, and even polar bears! We also had the chance to visit the Meadowlands Environmental Center again this May. What a difference from when we went in the fall! We had just as much fun exploring, observing, and testing the water around us. Too bad we didn't catch much while dip netting!
As June approaches, many exciting events are in place to celebrate a year full of growth and learning. Mark these dates on your calendar!
May 28 - Field Day
June 3 - Trip to Liberty Science Center
June 11 - 4th Grade Awards Ceremony 10:00
June 12 - Picnic at Shai Shacknai Park 12:00
Come in and visit and see the exciting things happening in fourth grade. We know you will enjoy!
