BELIEF STATEMENTS
We believe that:
- Children are our community's most valuable assets.
- The Board of Education, as elected policy-making body of the community, should support the faculty and administration in carrying out the mission of the high school.
- Parents are partners with the high school in helping their children to learn and develop their skills and knowledge.
- Students are responsible for their education and are accountable for their actions and decisions.
- We have an obligation to nurture a culture of respect that honors the uniqueness of the individual and fosters responsibility toward the community and the environment, while encouraging a tolerance and appreciation of the environment, while encouraging a tolerance and appreciation of the diversity of others in their studies.
- Students, regardless of learning styles and abilities, need to be challenged and inspired in order to achieve their full potential through a diversified curriculum that recognizes students' special needs.
- Everyone has a right to a clean, safe, positive, environment, which fosters pride in country, community, school and self.
- Teachers must demonstrate effective delivery of curriculum through preparedness, creativity and flexibility in order to maintain high academic standards in the classroom.
- Discipline policies that are consistently enforced should promote the positive learning environment.
- The school must provide an expanding curriculum that encompasses a balance of fine arts, foreign language, technology, and marketable skills that will encourage continuing education.
