CVOD – Curriculum Video on Demand.
Students can now browse for educational videos in the CVOD database. Good for insertion into PowerPoint presentations or as a backdrop to your in-class presentations, CVOD videos are brief, homework-appropriate resources. Just surf over to http://streaming.factsonfile.com/. (copy and paste the link for access). Your Account ID and password are available from the Media Specialist or through School Fusion.

Overview of Resources
32 Dell computers are available for student use. Available software includes the complete MS Office Suite 2003 (“backwards compatible” with Office Suite 2007), in addition to MovieMaker, Paint and CD-burning software. Atomic Learning training software provides online tutorials in the use of software such as PhotoShop or Access. Noodlebib training software that assists you in creating correctly formatted bibliographic entries; Turn It In software teaches you how to identify and avoid plagiarism. Information on how to access the computers and software is available from the Media Specialist.
Over 30 databases are available in all subject areas (a database is a collection of information and images that is easily searchable by subject, keyword, author, title, etc.). The information contained in the databases is reliable and appropriate for use in school assignments. Don’t waste time searching through 500,000 “iffy” Goggle returns when the databases can return quality information in a conveniently short list of 1-15 sources. More than 14,000 books, ebooks, magazines and daily newspapers are easily accessible through the online catalog. For more information on the print resources, click on the Print Resources link at the top of this page. For information on the ebooks, click on the Digital Resources link at the top of this page.
The Online Catalog searches our entire print, ebook and audio-video collections. It also features an Internet search that returns quality, homework-appropriate websites. The catalog is easy to use and offers both text-based and visual search options. The “Resource Lists” link provides access to lists of materials compiled by the Media Specialist. If you have questions, the Media Specialist will be happy to assist you.
Additional resources include 2 printers and a copy machine (cost: 10 cents a copy; machine makes change for $1 and $5 bills).
The library store stocks pens, pencils, highlighters, CDs, index cards, book socks, folders and other supplies. These items are available for sale at the circulation desk.
