OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The Special Parents Association is dedicated to helping parents of children with special educational needs.

The Special Parents Association believes in the strength of parents helping parents

and in the synergy of parents and educators working within the community

to insure that each child with special needs is afforded opportunities to develop

and grow as a full, capable person.

The Special Parents Association.....

Enables parents to share ideas and experiences and to broaden their knowledge.

Encourages parents to participate in their children's education and to become

more effective advocates for their children.

Promotes dialogue between parents, educators and policy makers to keep parentsinformed of decisions affecting their children and to help decision makers

understand the needs of children.
