Wayne Valley Cheerleading is about school spirit & team pride. We work very hard at our routines & sidelines to make each football game & competition more exciting & spirited. All of the team members are very talented. Using their skills in cheerleading, dancing, jumping, stunting & tumbling, the Wayne Valley cheerleaders put on quite a show. Cheerleading is an excellent way for everyone to learn dedication, determination, school spirit and the value of being a part of a team.

We have 4 squads: Varsity Football, Junior Varsity Football, Freshman Football & Varsity Competition.

Football Cheerleading:
We begin practices in August, along with camp. Games begin in September and run thru November-December. Seniors are eligible for the Varsity squad only. Juniors and sophomores are eligible for the Varsity and Junior Varsity squads. Freshman are eligible for the Freshman squad only.

Games:
Varsity – Friday nights, Saturday afternoons
Junior Varsity – Monday afternoons
Freshman – Friday nights, Saturday morning

Competition Team:
The competition team is a Varsity team made up of all 4 grades. The team consists of up to 25 cheerleaders. We begin practices in October & compete through February. We do approximately 10 competitions throughout the season. The team is also required to practice at a local cheerleading gym. This is a new program at Valley and we are very proud of its success thus far.
