Education Funding Consultants Association
The Education Funding Consultants Association is a non profit independent national organization of educational and financial professionals specializing in college planning and funding. EFCA helps parents and students sort through the myriad of decisions that need to be made in the months ahead, decisions that will impact their future. We try to help making paying for college a financial non-event - whether the family qualifies for financial aid or not.
Parents and teachers have worked diligently over the years preparing your students for a successfully college experience. We make sure that finances don't stand in the way of your students getting the college education they have earned. That is why we are delighted to extend an offer to your school on behalf of Education Funding Consultants Association (EFCA) and FAIRLIGH-DICKINSON UNIVERSITY to provide a comprehensive workshop designed exclusively for college bound families. This College Planning and Funding Seminar explains:
- The importance of the FAFSA form and what it means to families.
- How to appeal to the school of your choice to receive more free money (grants and scholarships)
- The importance of the SAT, SAT II, and PSAT
- What steps to take if you have lost employment or are or have divorced
- What the new tax laws mean to your family (Hope Credit, Lifetime Learning Credit, etc.)
- How a PRIVATE SCHOOL can cost less than a STATE SCHOOL
- The different loans and how they differ (Stafford, Perkins, Plus loans, etc.)
- Why 529 Plans and Prepaid Tuition Plans may not be a good idea
- We would like to show families that though college is expensive, everyone can afford to go.
FAIRLEIGH-DICKINSON UNIVERSITY has observed the work of Education Funding Consultants Association members and how we have helped create opportunities as well as assist parents in sending their children to college. They have helped families realize goals that appeared impossible! Sending their children to the school of their dreams can now become a reality.
