EXTRA HELP WITH SCHOOL SUBJECTS

A student desiring extra help with a school subject should make an appointment with his/her subject teacher.

ACTIVITIES

Many activities (clubs, services, organizations, teams) are available in the high schools for interested students. Please see the Extracurricular Activities page and the Athletics Page for more information.

STUDENTS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Student Assistance Program is a school-based program to assist students with personal and/or alcohol or drug related problems that are affecting school performance. It is a comprehensive program providing prevention, intervention, referral and support services using resources within both the school environment and the community at large. The Student Assistance Specialist is available for students and their parents/guardians to discuss any of these topics.  The number to call is 973-317-2233.

VISITORS

Students may not bring visitors to school. Only professional people and parent/guardians will be given permission to visit the high schools. All visitors must report to the Principal’s Office for clearance and approval.

WORKING PAPERS

All persons under the age of 18 are required by the Child Labor Law of the State of New Jersey to obtain a Certificate of Employment, commonly referred to as “Working Papers.” If a student is under 18 years of age and planning to enter the job market, he/she can obtain the proper forms from the secretary in the Guidance Office.
