The Art Department at Anthony Wayne strives to bring out the natural artistic ability in all of our students. Through the Art Cycle, we serve as an outlet for students to express themselves creatively. We use a variety of materials, we incorporate art history in our projects and this all helps beautify the school with our artwork.
Our students in the Windows Art Program also participate in several poster contests throughout the year such as, The AAA Safety Poster Contest, The Wayne Township Annual Health Fair Poster, The Lion’ Club Peace Poster and many more. Our biggest event is participating in the Annual North Jersey Craftsman’s Fair. Here our students usually rank very well in all of the categories.
We display all of our student’s artwork. Windows Art and Cycles Art projects, are often displayed together. You can find it on the walls throughout the halls of our school, as well as in the Media Center and Cafetorium. We also have selected art pieces displayed in the Board Office Lobby and Conference Room.
As you can tell we really promote our students art abilities every chance we get. Come meet the art teachers. Visit Mr. Maher in room 212 or visit Mrs. Herman in room 213.
