Welcome to the Pacesetter family. We are looking forward to an exciting and productive school year. Our goal is to develop good scholastic habits by consistently encouraging high-quality work and a positive attitude. There will be numerous experiences across the seventh grade curriculum that the children will enjoy.
Science will take students on a voyage through the microscopic world of bacteria and viruses. We will explore unicellular organisms and move to the more complex animal kingdom. It will be a challenging but interesting year learning about all of the living organisms that affect their lives. Students will examine major events of the 20th century in United States history. They will study how past events, such as World War II, have shaped their lives today. In math, students will sample all aspects of the mathematic field from probability and geometry to algebra. As the year progresses, they will improve their critical thinking and problem solving skills in math. This year students will also enhance their writing by improving organization, content, and grammar. They will develop reading comprehension skills and use analytical thinking to relate themes to their own experiences.
It is our goal as Pacesetters to push ourselves to the limits and see if we can’t go a little further!
