Student Health Screenings

Students will be screened annually for height, weight, vision and hearing defects, scoliosis(7th grade only), blood pressure and pediculosis. Parents will be notified of any findings that might require further medical evaluation.

It is recommended that all 6th and 7th grade students be examined yearly by their doctor. It is required that all 8th grade students have a physical examination. For those who are unable to be seen by their doctor, the exam will be done by the school physician.

Medication Administration

Students who need medication during school hours must bring the original labeled container, with completed medication form(s), to the nurse. No medication will be administered without proper documentation. Students are not permitted to carry or self administer medication without permission from the nurse.
