World Language

The 6th, 7th and 8th grade A/B program offers the students the ability to understand and converse about familiar topics in Spanish while exploring the culture, history and traditions of various Spanish speaking countries and Puerto Rico.

The 8th grade Spanish I program offers a more comprehensive program, presenting to the students a more rigorous curriculum, which will prepare them for success in a Spanish II class.  Students will be working on all modes of communication, speaking, reading and writing.  The Spanish I students will also study various historical and cultural aspects of Spanish speaking nations.  Students at this level will also be evaluated via mid-term and final exams, as well as, a pilot GEPA – the STAMP Test – which will evaluate each student’s oral and comprehension proficiency.
