The Art Department at George Washington provides hands on experiences for students to express their creativity. The course work incorporates the elements and principals of art into the art experience. Students are exposed to art history through oral and written critique, modeling and art appreciation. At George Washington students explore a variety of mediums and implement cross curricular strategies. Students create both three-dimensional and two-dimensional art pieces. Student work is highlighted throughout the school and community.
