Welcome Back!

Mrs. Tierney and I are very excited to open the doors of George Washington Middle School on September 3, 2009 to all students, staff, and parents.  As we embark on a new school year, please keep the following in mind to ensure a smooth transition:

 

1. Lockers will be assigned during homeroom on the first day of school.  We kindly ask you to purchase a lock and quickly learn the combination.  In addition, it is highly recommended you do not share your combination with anyone.
2. Cell phones are not to be used during school hours.  If a student is found with a cell phone, it will be confiscated and brought to the main office.  In order for the student to receive his/her cell phone back, a parent/guardian will need to stop by the office to pick it up. 
3. Please feel free to stop by my office at anytime.  My door is always open and I am here to help each and every student at George Washington Middle School. 
4. If you walk to school, please use caution as you enter and exit the school grounds.  If you take the bus, please remember the bus is an extension of school and rules and regulations you follow during the day apply to the bus.
5. Take advantage of all the exciting clubs and activities George Washington Middle School offers.  It’s a great way to meet new friends, find an interest, and develop a sense of community.
