Welcome to the 6th Grade Lincoln Team

The 6th Grade Lincoln Team Teachers would like to welcome all of our students to the Lincoln Team! We anticipate a great year, filled with many exciting learning opportunities. Each of our teachers is dedicated to providing the students with interactive activities which result in our team goal: to produce lifetime critical thinkers!

In order to provide the best learning environment possible, we have established a set of norms in order to ensure everyone’s success.  We have no doubt that this year will be the best one yet!  If there are any questions, we are always here to help! 

6- Lincoln Team Norms

1. All students are expected to come to class on time and be prepared.  Being prepared for class involves bringing all of the necessary items needed for instruction, including the proper writing instrument, a notebook, folder, and any other materials the teacher has requested (i.e. calculators, rulers).  Students are expected to show respect for others as well as themselves, and are expected to do their best at all times.

2. Homework will be given by each teacher and is expected to be completed by the next class period, unless otherwise stated.  Completed assignments will be compiled and counted as a test grade. This grade will be averaged in with the rest of the grades for the marking period.  Late homework will be accepted if the assignment is not completed during class time, however it will only receive half credit.  Additionally, projects are expected to be handed in on time.  They will be accepted late; however points will be deducted from the final project grade.

3. Teachers will be available for extra help.  Students can approach a teacher for extra help before or after class in order to set up a mutually convenient time to meet. 

4. Students who misbehave in class will undergo consequences.  These consequences will be determined based on the severity of the incident.  Misbehavior is comprised of: causing a disturbance in class, repeatedly calling out, not following directions, “fooling around”, and/or other violations that disrupt the teaching and learning process.
