World Language - Spanish

The 6th, 7th and 8th grade cycle program offers our students the ability to understand and converse about familiar topics in Spanish.  In addition, they will explore the culture and traditions of various Spanish-speaking countries.

Spanish I

The 8th grade Spanish I program offers a more comprehensive program, on an everyday basis, presenting to the students a more rigorous curriculum, which will prepare them for success in a Spanish II class.  Students will work on all modes of communication: speaking, reading and writing.  The Spanish I students will also study various historical and cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking nations.  Students at this level will be evaluated via mid-term and final exams.

Latin I and French I

These comprehensive courses will be available to Eighth Grade Students.  These high school level classes will be taught by high school instructors who will evaluate the students via mid-term and final exams.  This rigorous curriculum will prepare them for success in Latin II and French II classes.

The World Language Department looks forward to an exciting and productive school year with our students, which we hope will result in a life-long love of different languages and cultures.
