The philosophy of the Art Department at Schuyler-Colfax is to create an atmosphere where students will gain exposure to fine arts both aesthetically and technically. Through collage, painting, drawing, sculpture and more, students will learn a variety of  skills and will form interdisciplinary connections.

Using art as a vehicle, each student will gain a sense of self-awareness and a better understanding of the socioeconomic and cultural differences our world has. These influences will prepare students for becoming responsible and conscientious leaders in the future.
