After many months of debate and community feedback regarding the New Jersey Department of Education Health and Physical Education Standards, the Wayne Board of Education approved specific lesson plans that were created by Wayne teachers which will be delivered to students for the first time later this fall.
During the ongoing pandemic recovery, the New Jersey Department of Education applied for federal testing waivers which requires school districts to ensure students take a benchmark assessment at the onset of the new school year in order to collect data on potential learning loss, provide teachers with early intervention data, and also provide parents with timely information about their children's current progress and potential learning needs.

The Wayne Township Public Schools were thrilled to receive a large donation of school supplies and backpacks from the Performance Auto Group of Wayne (Wayne Mazda) this past week. School employees will distribute these supplies to students in need of school book bags and educational materials.
