  • Nicholas Grimshaw Appointed Principal of A.P. Terhune Elementary School

    (Wayne, New Jersey) The Wayne Township Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Nicholas Grimshaw as Principal of Albert Payson Terhune Elementary School effective July 14, 2020. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Hobart College and possesses a Masters in Educational Leadership from The College of St. Elizabeth. He began his career as a Social Studies teacher in the Ridgewood School District and has served the last 5 years as an administrator starting in the Summit School District and then here in Wayne.   • July 16, 2020 Regular Virtual Meeting

    With consideration for the public during the current health crisis, the Board of Education will virtually open the meeting to the general public and the public is invited to participate and comment through the district's virtual software platform.   • Dr. Jessica Hammond Appointed Principal of Preakness Early Childhood Center

    (Wayne, New Jersey) -The Wayne Township Board of Education is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Jessica Hammond as Principal of the Early Childhood Center at Preakness School. Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Mark Toback, noted “Dr. Hammond’s work in Wayne started on July 1st, but her experience in early childhood education, special education, and educational leadership spans over twenty years at the state, local, and university level.   • Food Services Summer Meals Announcement

    The Wayne Township Public Schools are happy to announce that our application to offer food service for all students in Wayne Township until August 31, 2020 has been approved by state officials. Each week our food service will send a weekly menu home with the food along with tips on what to bring for the meal pick up.
