    Chromebooks & and charging stations are available for student use in the Media Center.  If your chromebook is damaged or not working properly, you may bring it to the Media Specialist, who will provide you with a loaner laptop while your chromebook is being repaired.
     
    Dell desktop computers are available for student use.  They run the Windows 7 OS and MS Office Suite 2010, in addition to Adobe Creative Suite V.  The default browser is Google Chrome; Windows IE will still be available.  Other available software includes Atomic Learning (online tutorials in the use of software such as Photoshop or Excel); NoodleTools (assists in creation of correctly formatted MLA footnotes and bibliographic entries); and Turn It In (teaches how to identify and avoid plagiarism).  Information on how to access the computers and software is available from the Media Specialist.  New this school year:  Freshman and Sophomore students will be provided with their own devices.

    Three comprehensive database suites covering all subject areas, are available for student use 24/7 in school and from home.  A database is a collection of digitized information and images that is easily searchable by subject, keyword, author, or title.     More than 14,000 print books, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines and newspapers are easily accessible through the online catalog.  For more information on these resources, click on the Print Resources and the Digital Resources links on this page. 

    The Online Catalog searches our entire print, digital, audio and video collections.  It also features an Internet search that returns quality, homework-appropriate websites.  The catalog is easy to use and offers both text-based and visual search options.  The “Resource Lists” link within the catalog provides access to lists of materials compiled by the Media Specialist.  If you have questions, the Media Specialist will be happy to assist you.
