  • 2022-2023 Annual Assessment Notification

    September 30, 2022 - Dear Parents and Guardians, Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:7C-6.6, school districts are required each year by October 1 to provide notification to parents and guardians regarding information on any state assessment or commercially developed standardized assessment that will be administered in the school district during the current school year.

  • Facilities upgrades & first day of school slide shows

    Wayne Township Public Schools attended Wayne Day on September 18th. At the WTPS booth, we displayed a video showcasing the many Facilities Department upgrades completed in the district for the school year 2022-2023 and a video about the first day of school at all of the 15 buildings.

  • Letter from the Superintendent - Health and PE Opt-Out

    September 19, 2022 - Dear Parents and Guardians: Over the past few weeks, parents and guardians have had the opportunity to review the specific lesson plans related to the new health and physical education standards. Starting today, we are asking our parent community to continue to review the lessons and make a final decision about opting out and then make your request to opt your child out of these lessons using the district form.

  • WTPS Partnership with Hometown Ticket for Digital Purchasing

    Wayne Township Public Schools are excited to announce a partnership with HomeTown Ticketing for the 2022-2023 school year. Use the QR codes to purchase tickets to WHHS and WVHS football games or download the Hometown Fan App.

  • Wayne Board of Education Approves Health and Physical Education Standards

    After many months of debate and community feedback regarding the New Jersey Department of Education Health and Physical Education Standards, the Wayne Board of Education approved specific lesson plans that were created by Wayne teachers which will be delivered to students  for the first time later this fall.

  • Update on Standardized Assessments for the 2022-2023 School Year

    During the ongoing pandemic recovery, the New Jersey Department of Education applied for federal testing waivers which requires school districts to ensure students take a benchmark assessment at the onset of the new school year in order to collect data on potential learning loss, provide teachers with early intervention data, and also provide parents with timely information about their children's current progress and potential learning needs.

  • 2022-2023 Wellness Weekends - Letter from Superintendent

    September 8, 2022 - Dear Parents/Guardians and Students: As we settle into the school year, I am writing to make you aware that this year we are excited to continue our focus for student and staff wellness, which includes Wellness Weekends.  Wellness weekends represent a break away from school responsibilities.

  • Wayne Township Public Schools Receive Large Bookbag and School Supply Donation from Wayne Mazda (Performance Auto Group)!

    The Wayne Township Public Schools were thrilled to receive a large donation of school supplies and backpacks from the Performance Auto Group of Wayne (Wayne Mazda) this past week. School employees will distribute these supplies to students in need of school book bags and educational materials.

  • Wayne Board of Education Approves District Goals

    (Wayne, New Jersey) - At the regular meeting of August 18th, the Wayne Board of Education approved five district goals for the 22-23 school year. Each of the goals addresses issues that are immediately important to students, staff, and the community.

  • Dr. Kimberly Thompson Appointed as Principal of Randall Carter Elementary School

    (Wayne, New Jersey) - The Wayne Township Board of Education is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Kimberly Thompson, as principal of Randall Carter Elementary School. Dr. Thompson started her career in Southern California as a multiple subject middle school teacher, a literacy specialist, and an assistant principal.

        The Wayne Township Public Schools administrative team convened for their annual retreat on August 15, 2022. A “collective resume” showcasing their combined credentials and highlighting their collective influence was created for each level. The district is fortunate to have such a talented administrative team

        Mrs. Piro’s Marketing 2 classes had the opportunity to partner with the NY Jets social media team on three campaigns they were working on for the upcoming draft/season

        The Wayne Hills Business Department is pleased to announce that Lucia Pollaro, a senior at Wayne Hills High School, was one of the 16 winners selected statewide for a $1,500 scholarship awarded by the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

        Pop Artist, Michael Albert visited SCMS! Ms. Zubiaurre and Ms. Frenchman’s Advanced Art students had the pleasure of working with Mr. Albert who shared his love and passion for art in a day-long workshop.
