    Dear Anthony Wayne Learning Community,

    It is an honor and privilege to be the principal of Anthony Wayne Middle School.  Our three way partnership of exceptional students, talented and dedicated teachers/support staff and supportive parents make us a learning community with endless possibilities.

    The 180 Days of AWesome character education initiative developed by the AWMS Character Education Committee was implemented throughout the 2014-2015 school year and proved to have a positive impact on our school community. The teaching, support and administrative staff are committed to continuing this focus during the 2021-2022 school year and beyond.
     
    Remember Stallions, your academic and social-emotional well being and development is extremely important to all of the adults here at Anthony Wayne Middle School. We care about our students and will work to maintain positive and meaningful student/teacher relationships.  It is up to all of us to make AWMS a great school that is welcoming, tolerant, collaborative and kind. 
     
    In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. - 

    The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.  Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.
