Student Council is a group of elected students working within the framework of a constitution or bylaws to provide a means for student expression and assistance in school affairs and activities, give opportunities for student experience in leadership, and encourage student/faculty/community relations.
*The Student Council shall:
*Promote a greater degree of unity, respect, spirit, and cooperation among students, faculty, staff, and administration.
*Offer and oversee activities for furthering the academic, and social growth of the student body.
*Provide a democratic and representative forum through which students may address school-related issues affecting the student body.
*Represent the faculty and administration the concerns of the student body regarding academic and disciplinary policies.

Penny Wars
The penny war will consist of each grade being assigned two water jugs, with one labeled positive and the other negative. The objective is for each grade to deposit money in their positive water jug, while also filling any other class’ negative water jugs. We will compare each class’ negative and positive water jugs at the end of the week, and depending on the math each class will have either a negative or positive number. Money will be collected before and after school and during lunch period outside of the commons, Monday-Thursday.

*2 products can be added together to meet the required size for 1 point
*Food Item= 1 pointTUESDAY-THURSDAY: The food drive will take place Tuesday-Thursday from 6:30am-7:15am in the North Gym
***PLEASE DO NOT BRING GLASS ITEMS***
Pasta Products- 1 lb.
Soups- 10 oz.
Canned Fruits & Vegetables- 8 oz. -especially corn, peas, carrots, and beans
Rice- 8 oz.
Tomato SAUCE- 16 oz.
Tuna- 3 oz.
Salad Dressing- 8 oz.
Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo- 8 oz.
Gift certificates valued at $20 dollars to local supermarkets will be accepted for 25 points and will be collected in room 275 from 7:00 am to 7:15 am.
FRIDAY: Bring in gift certificates for $20 dollars to a local supermarket and your grade will receive 25 POINTS.
