Green Club Activity Highlights

      Pollinator Garden Project

      • Pollinator Garden Project

        On Sunday, October 2nd, 2022, we started our community garden pollinator project at the Wayne YMCA. The project is still continuing!

      Bird House Maintenance

      • On Saturday, October 8th, our Green Club members helped the Laurelwood Arboretum to check and clean animal nesting boxes.

         

      Invasive Species Removal

      • Invasive Species Removal

        On a morning in July, our Green Club members helped Laurelwood Arboretum to remove invasive weeds. We also encountered the beautiful polyphemus moth. Read the Laurelwood Newsletter about our project.

      Past Activities

      • Recycled Art Teaching Program

        We have done several recycling art teaching programs at the Wayne Public Library. Teaching recycled waster art, nature, and animal drawings to teach the importance of nature to our everyday life.

                    


        Community Cleanup

        Our supportive club members helped the community by collecting dozens of bags of garbage from the street grassy areas, and sidewalks as we cleaned up the parking lot and sidewalks around 2440 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, NJ on Saturday, April 30, 2022.  A total of $400 was raised from the CVS Pharmacy and the Recycling Program Department from Passaic County.
