At the regular meeting of the Wayne Board of Education held on November 21st, board members unanimously approved a grant and the formation of new Unified Sports and Unified Clubs at both high schools. The Board heard a presentation about these exciting new programs from Assistant Director of Student Support Services Jennifer Varano and Assistant Principals for Athletics and Activities Jeff Dilollo (Wayne Hills) and Dave Drozjock (Wayne Valley).
On Saturday, November 30th, Wayne Valley High School played a hard-fought football game against Northern Highlands at Metlife Stadium. After a furious comeback in the second half, Wayne Valley won their first-ever North Group 4 Regional Football Championship. The Highlanders led 17-7 at halftime, but Wayne Valley came back strong in the second half to beat Northern Highlands 21-17. Thank you to the many fans and spectators for coming out to support the Wayne Valley Football Team!
