  • Letter from the Superintendent - District Testing Update

January 25, 2019 - Dear Parents, Guardians and Students: The end of January usually marks a time when we receive a flood of correspondence from parents regarding their desire to not have their children participate in the New Jersey Department of Education standardized testing program. With the 2015 transition to a computer-based testing program (PARCC) and the resulting skepticism over the use and sharing of student data, the widespread unpopularity of the Common Core State Standards and other state-mandated reforms, and a host of other problems too numerous to list, parents and students had many reasons to be concerned.

  • Wayne High Schools Placed on College Boards's 9th Annual AP District Honor Roll

The Wayne Township Public Schools are one of 373 school districts in the U.S. and Canada being honored by the College Board with placement on the 9th Annual AP District Honor Roll. To be included on the 9th Annual Honor Roll, both district high schools had to, since 2016, increase the number of students participating in AP while also increasing or maintaining the percentage of students earning AP Exam scores of 3 or higher. Reaching these goals shows that this district is successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared students who are ready for AP.
