  • Letter from the Superintendent - June 17, 2021

Currently, a debate is playing out in communities across the United States regarding Critical Race Theory and public schools. For example, on Tuesday, the Governor of Texas signed a bill into law that does not name Critical Race Theory specifically, but instead, bans teachers from teaching topics and ideas closely associated with Critical Race Theory. Some of the topics and ideas at issue include diversity and inclusion, anti-racism training, inherent racism, equity, social justice, multiculturalism, and the 1619 Project.
