Past Peer Leader Events
Freshman Orientation:
As an incoming freshman, coming into a large school like Wayne Valley can seem intimidating. Our Peer Leaders provided help when students were trying to navigate their schedules and learn more about the school. Peer Leaders are always willing to help!
STARS Holiday Parties:
Peer Leaders have put together and organized holiday parties for Wayne Valley's STARTS students. Last school year, there was a Winter party and a Valentine's Day party. Members came up with fun crafts, activities, games for entertainment, and made fun googie bags so the fun could be taken home as well!
Wellness Fair
The Wellness Fair was an event at Wayne Valley that many different clubs and organizations took part in. As Peer Leaders, we made stress balls for students that came to the booth, and had a positive photo wall where students took silly photos of themselves with fun props and had a good time!
Eighth Grade Talk
Some of our members traveled to the middle schools to provide advice and tips about high school. The Peer Leaders elaborated on different clubs, sports, and activities that they took part in and enjoyed. The eight graders were also able to ask questions that they had about WVHS.
Fundraising
Our members sold products from Yankee Candle and were able to raise a lot of money for our club! This allowed us to have extra money for extra supplies during events!
Kindness Week
The Peer Leaders played a large part in Kindness Week at WV. Members made positive posters, participated in the spirit week, and helped come up with the spirit week themes! It was a large success for the school.
