Dr. Kimberly Moreno Appointed as Assistant Principal of Wayne Valley HIgh School
(Wayne, New Jersey) - The Wayne Township Board of Education is proud to announce the appointment of Kimberly Moreno, Ed.D., as Assistant Principal of Wayne Valley High School. Dr. Moreno began her teaching career in 2009 as an alternate route teacher for the Union City Board of Education. In 2012, Dr. Moreno was the driving force behind the development of a career and technical education program for the health sciences at Union City High School. This innovative new program, developed in partnership with Rutgers University, provided students with the opportunity to earn industry-valued credentials, college credits, and a head start in health care careers. In 2013, she became the advisor of Health Occupations Students of America, an international career and technical student organization focusing on health-related careers. She also served as the coordinator of Project SEED, a program sponsored by the American Chemical Society, which allows high school students to do state-of-the-art research under the supervision of a scientist. In 2015, Dr. Moreno’s exceptional work was recognized when she received the National Milken Educator Award.
