Wayne Board of Education Approves Health and Physical Education Standards

 

After many months of debate and community feedback regarding the New Jersey Department of Education Health and Physical Education Standards, the Wayne Board of Education approved specific lesson plans that were created by Wayne teachers which will be delivered to students  for the first time later this fall. The District is now entering the next phase of the process.  This phase involves sharing the lessons with the parent community and then working with the parent community to offer the option to “opt-out” of the specific lessons that include the most controversial content.  On Monday, September 19th, the opt-out forms will be shared with the community.
