On Wednesday, November 21, our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students participated in a friendship-building scavengerhunt. Students were placed in small groups with grade-level peers across all classrooms, to encourage friendships.
At Pines Lake, one of our primary goals and commitments, is to support the full inclusion of all our students. We believe that we have the responsibility to take this opportunity and create an environment where all students are accepted and valued. As a school that is home to culturally and linguistically diverse students and students with diverse learning abilities, we believe we can foster an environment where learning and friendships flourish. All students become aware that each of their classmates brings and contributes valuable insights, perspectives, and abilities into our learning community.
