Important Message from Dr. Toback 3/20/2020
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers:
First, I would like to thank all members of our school community for the many ways you have supported this difficult transition to distance learning. I would also like to thank all of our employees for their unbelievable effort to maintain our educational programs while considering other non-educational needs and the feelings of our students who are struggling with this new normal. Lastly, I would like to thank the members of the Wayne Board of Education for their unwavering support. The strength of our school system is on full display and our strength will carry us through this global setback. As I wrote earlier this week, we are all on an unexpected journey together. One of our primary objectives is to make sure the distance learning model is working for all students. As a result, we are seeking your feedback so we can hear directly from you and better understand the challenges you and your children are facing.
We would really appreciate it if you would participate in a Thoughtexchange where you will be able to share ideas about your experience thus far. Normally, we allow for about two weeks for participation. However, this situation changes rapidly and under the circumstances, we can’t afford to wait for two weeks. As a result, this Thoughtexchange will run through March 24th and it will end at 5 PM. If you would like to get involved, please click HERE.
Over the past few days, we received a number of questions from the community and we use them as a basis for the updates we make on the FAQ section of the WTPS Coronavirus Update Center. We encourage you to review these important questions and answers. Please continue to send your questions and comments.
