ROCK BAND CLUB: Mr. Maher

Please see Mr. Maher directly if you are interested in this club. The AWMS Rock Band Club has existed in various forms since 2019. The club primarily caters to students who have some experience playing a "rock" instrument (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards) or those who wish to serve as a singer. Throughout the course of the school year, students will use club time to talk about music history and concepts, and to learn a set list of songs which can be performed together in a band setting. This is a similar approach to what some students experience outside of school in programs like School of Rock. One goal of the club is working towards some form of performance towards the end of the school year.

NO PLACE FOR HATE CLUB: Mr. Maher & Mrs. Marcinowski

The schedule will be provided on the first day and will meet on Thursdays from 2:50-3:30 pm. We believe that small actions can create big waves of change. Through art, projects, and creative expression, our club works to make our school a more connected and cohesive community. We build bridges between students and staff, create spaces where every voice matters, and advocate for those who may not always be heard. Our club is open to everyone. If you care about kindness, inclusivity, and helping our school—and the world—be a more empathetic, connected place, you belong here.

See Ms. Marcinowski or Mr. Maher for a permission slip.
