Dear Wayne Community,
As many of you may know, the ongoing federal government shutdown has created uncertainty for some New Jersey families who rely on programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other federal benefits.
The Wayne Township Public Schools cares deeply for the families we serve. We have worked in collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Education, in the compilation of a list of helpful resources for families who may be experiencing food insecurity or other challenges during this time. Each link provides access to free support and assistance from trusted organizations. Additionally, weโve identified Passaic County food distribution events serving families in the coming days.
We encourage anyone in need to explore these resources and to reach out to our school-based support networks if needed. Our community is strongest when we take care of one another.
A list of resources is available below and on our food assistance website located HERE. Please feel free to share this information with anyone who may be in need.
