MET trip

On April 7th, the Italian IVH/VH classes participated in an educational visit to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in conjunction with their study of the Italian Masters.

The timing of the visit coincided with the opening of an exhibition dedicated to Raphael, providing a valuable contextual framework for the students’ work. Direct engagement with Raphael’s paintings enabled students to analyze artistis techniques, compositional strategies, and thematic elements within their original setting.

Each student selected a specific work for further study, fostering both individual inquiry and critical interpretation. This immersive experience significantly enhanced students’ understanding of Renaissance art and reinforced the interdisciplinary connections between language, history, and visual culture."
