Quiz Bowl is an academic club advised by Ms. Kiernan, where players answer questions from all areas of knowledge including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, sports, and popular culture and compete against other local, state, and national teams.

We meet once a week right after school in room 221 for approximately one hour.

Last year, our team was ranked #1 in NJ in the National Academic Competition, qualifying us for the NAC playoffs and eventually the final round. Ultimately, we placed 12th in the nation...an outstanding accomplishment and a first for Wayne Hills. Many of our starting players are now in college, so we need students who are interested in joining an activity that combines fun and academics.

This year we plan to participate in a number of competitions:

• Local against Wayne Valley and possibly other local schools, as well as the WHHS faculty

• Virtual and in-person competitions including

• The 3-2-1 Tournament

• The Island Cup

• The Maroon Bowl

• The National Academic Competition
