The Wayne Township Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Cittadino as the next Superintendent of Schools, effective August 15, 2025. Mr. Cittadino was selected for his outstanding leadership credentials, broad educational experience, and shared commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and student-centered learning. Mr. Cittadino brings over 27 years of experience in public education and has served as the Old Bridge Township Superintendent since 2013.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Cittadino earned multiple accolades for his leadership, including being named the 2024 New Jersey PTA Outstanding Superintendent of the Year and the 2020 Middlesex County Superintendent of the Year. He is widely respected for his strategic approach to educational leadership, his commitment to equity and access, and his collaborative leadership style.
