The Wayne Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting on January 8, 2026. Two new board members, Joseph V. Agnes and Keith M. Heyman, were seated based on the results of the November general election. Agnes was sworn in by Mrs. Jinnee DeMarco, Business Administrator/Board Secretary, Heyman was sworn in by Mayor Christopher Vergano, while Superior Court Judge Scott T. Rumana administered the oath of office to Incumbent Barbara Rigoglioso.
The Board of Education unanimously selected Donald Pavlak, Jr. as President of the Board of Education. He has served the community as a Board Member since 2005, and has previously served as President in 2017, 2018, 2024, 2025 and as Vice President in 2016.
