The Wayne Township Board of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Cittadino as the next Superintendent of Schools, effective August 15, 2025. Mr. Cittadino was selected for his outstanding leadership credentials, broad educational experience, and shared commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and student-centered learning. Mr. Cittadino brings over 27 years of experience in public education and has served as the Old Bridge Township Superintendent since 2013. The 11th Annual Community Forum is hosted by Wayne Township's Mayor Chris Vergano and Wayne School's Superintendent Dr. Mark Toback. This FREE event will feature a parent presentation called Screenagers and a Teen Event with Vive18 Illusionist Tom Coverly.

The Wayne Township Board of Education is proud to announce the appointment of Jacob Cavins, Ed.D., as Principal of Theunis Dey Elementary School. Dr. Cavins graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Electrical Engineering. For eight years, he served as an Apache Helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Captain. He deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During that time, he flew over 100 combat missions and planned over 30 Brigade and Division level operations, earning two Bronze Stars as well as two Air Medals.
